Community Studio was founded by teachers deeply invested in art and education. Our objective is to make art accessible and strengthen the relationships between young people, practicing artists, and their communities. By building these connections, we aim to deliver quality learning experiences, broaden perspectives, grow inclusivity, and create job opportunities for artists.

 

With over 20 years of combined teaching experience, Community Studio collaborates closely with artists and creatives to develop learning materials that are age-appropriate, skill-appropriate, and grounded in strong educational practice. We interpret creative processes through an educational lens, designing resources and workshop environments that support creativity, scaffold skill development, and build students’ confidence as artists and thinkers.

We are currently running our workshops out of a hired space in Footscray.
